Hey!! My name is Bianca Araujo. I moved back to the area from western Prince William and Loudoun Counties, where I was teaching and am so happy to be back! I am thrilled to join the team here at STEM Preschool. I have been teaching for 12 years, most of my experience being with Toddlers, Two and Three
year olds.

I have always enjoyed helping others learn and grow. I knew I wanted to be a teacher, even when I was young. I love being able to help and watch children begin to develop into their own little person as they discover something new everyday. I have attended Northern Virginia Community College and am
currently enrolled in CareCourses to complete my Childhood Development Associates.

When I am not teaching, I enjoy traveling to the beach and road trips to the mountains for some hiking
and fishing. I enjoy painting, crafting and cooking or just hanging out at home with my 3 cats. I look forward to working with you and your child this year.

Rockin' Robots

Hello Everyone!
My name is Alison Fath and I am SUPER excited to be apart of the STEM Preschool family this year! I have always had a niche for education and even started making grounds towards my lifelong pathway as an educator as early as high school when I served as a First Grade mentor in one of my chosen electives. Since then I have worked as an early childhood nanny, lead instructor for multiple summer camps, soccer coach, and vast experience in multiple daycare facilities.

I am originally from Berryville, Virginia. I completed my Associates Degree at Lord Fairfax Community College in Middletown Virginia and am nearing the end of my Bachelor’s Degree requirements in Early Childhood Education through Old Dominion University. When I am not hanging out with my 2 and 3 year old friends at STEM, I love to find activities outside to do! My favorites are hiking, kayaking, and watching Nationals baseball! I also have a huge passion for traveling the world and exploring places that I’ve never been!

Eager Engineers

It’s wonderful to make a career out of a passion of mine. I’ve been working with children since I was in high school and that’s where I discovered my talent. I started my childcare career in 2013 when I started working for a non-profit dedicated to providing families with resources, including tutoring, mentoring, and education. They focused primarily on preschool and elementary school families. I enjoyed working as a Group Leader and helping my children develop socially, cognitively and emotionally.

I received my associate’s degree in psychology at Northern Virginia Community College. Being from Virginia, I am proud to say I spent my time attending school in Virginia and teaching in the public school system, as well as volunteering at recreation centers. I plan to continue my studies and become a social worker in the near future. Most of my time is spent with my family and friends. Some of my favorite activities are painting and shopping, but most of all I like to spread my love with others. I am thrilled to now be a lead teacher with the STEM Preschool team!

Hello! My name is Jhoselyn Diaz. I have lived in Arlington for 12 years, Iʼm originally from Bolivia. Iʼm 21 years old, graduated from Wakefield High School. I still attend Norther Virginia Community College. I love working with children! I worked as a nanny in high school during the summer. After graduating high school I started working at 2 different family daycares before joining the STEM family. I have 2 and a half years of experience working with infants and toddlers. My dream one day is to graduate and become an Elementary School teacher to teach students something new every day.

In 2004, I began my teaching career at the Cub Run Elementary School in Fairfax County, Va.  I was a senior teacher and classroom lead teacher in the highly acclaimed Preschool Autism Classroom (PAC) program. I was charged with organizing, developing, and implementing a flexible curriculum and learning plan for autistic children and children that struggled with emotional disabilities such as anger management, social skills, relaxation skills, and functional deficiencies.

I attribute my success to practicing good teamwork and maintaining good effective and personable communications between varied stakeholders including concerned parents, school officials, and the individual children themselves.  After 13 years at Cub Run, it’s a pleasure to join STEM Preschool as the 3-4's Lead Teacher. I am a native of Virginia and graduated from Prince George’s Community College with an associates degree in Graphic Arts.  I am a mom to Ananda and Esteban, and wife to John.
